Growing Places Nursery welcomes children from 6 weeks to school age. We are in Partnership with the Local council. Our capacity is 24 children per day.

The nursery is situated just off Shore Street Gourock, offering easy access to public transport, e.g. bus, ferry, and train.  Collecting and dropping off by car is also favourable.

Both indoor and outdoor play will be encouraged, as through this your child will be able to develop in all aspects of their lives.

Although the nursery does not have its own private outdoor area, every effort will be made to plan for the children to have outdoor play within the weekly curriculum, and to be involved with local outside agencies, such as the library, and shops and businesses.

Each child is an individual in their own right, and care will be taken to provide each child’s needs, either individually, or within a group.

Parents are the prime educators of their children, and the Growing Places staff hopes to be that all important link between home life, and stepping out into the pre 5 sector. All parents and main carers are welcome at the nursery to discuss, take part, or just observe the daily running of the nursery.  We offer an open door policy, and hope to encourage support to the child in these important early years of the child’s life.

We are registered with the Care Commission who were set up by an act of parliament,
“The Regulation of Care (Scotland) Act 2001” which was implemented in April 2002-
