Dear Parents, As you may be aware, there have been a number of suspected cases of ‘Swine Flu’ in the local area, resulting in a few establishments closing as a precautionary matter. As a nursery, we have been seeking advice from local health centres and have been given the following advice:
The main precaution being advised is to be wary. Children’s noses should be wiped regularly and the tissue immediately disposed of. Coughing and sneezing should be done into a tissue, and again disposed of as soon as possible. Hands should be washed thoroughly and regularly and dried properly, especially after coughing and sneezing. If your child shows flu like symptoms, please contact your GP or NHS 24 as soon as possible. However, please be wary of the symptoms and let us know if your child has been showing any of these. We will keep you updated and informed of any changes.
